we hate 'hate crimes'

For real.

I hate 'hate crimes.' It's just like every other kind of crime, but yanno, deals with a specific reason.

There was a girl named Teish that was killed in Syracuse on Friday. Teish was born Moses Cannon, and a man. He was "killed for openly being gay" and also "for being transgendered."

And here.

How unfortunate it is.
"There was no previous argument between these individuals, there was no previous fight, there was no bad blood," Miguel said. "Our suspect took a rifle and shot and killed this person, also wounding his brother, for the sole reason he didn't care for the sexual preference of our victim. Isn't that sad? Isn't that a sad situation that that's the sole reason why?
How little we have all learned from this. How little media attention this has been given. Yet another kick in the teeth, another slap in the face.

My thoughts are with Teish's family (because, you know I don't pray.)

That's so sad that the world is so cold hearted. It's sad how people can be that mean to one another just because there different and not ashamed of it. When it comes to the media, there never truly on our side. As long as the victim is not famous, gay, and/or black; there will rarely to never be any media coverage. It's sad but true.
